Duck Eggs (Half Dozen)
Duck Eggs (Half Dozen)
These eggs are made fresh daily from our very own Lefse (white eggs) and Gilly (gray eggs).
And while you’re here, how about some fun duck egg facts?! First, there is more yolk to white ratio in a duck egg, so the flavor is a little richer and ‘eggier’ tasting. We like scrambling them, but we have a few folks that buy them for baking because they whip up better to make fluffier cookies, breads, and other baked goods. Second the shells are a little bit harder to crack due to their thicker membrane, but that’s ok because eggs have protein which will make you big and strong so you can crack more eggs! And speaking of protein, duck eggs have more of that than chicken eggs. The dark yellow yolk also houses more antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, and 50% more Vitamin-A than chicken eggs. Now just imagine if the 4 dozen eggs Gaston ate every morning were ducks eggs!
